I've been waiting to read this book for a long time and yesterday it came in! I was so excited I started reading it right away. It did not let me down. The constant twists and turns with some romance, humor, and fear, this book kept me hooked until I finished it at midnight!
Here's what it's about:
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself- and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.
Defiantly go check it out!

Thanks to you I read this book last night and stayed up really late to finish. I thought it was really good. I hope there is a sequel. Thanks for the recommendation. Got any more?
ReplyDeleteThe sequel is called The Elite. It does not have a set date yet to come out as The Selection just came out a few months ago.
